Friends and Colleagues,

Our annual food drive is upon us, and this year makes it our 13th year! Kickoff starts October 12th and will complete on November 12th, however I will continue to collect goods in their boxes on the various local sites through most November. Emails going out will provide more detail. Food Gatherers is one of the very best resources in our area for supporting the local community in need as well as supporting many outreach programs in surrounding communities to provide basic life necessities to those who are without, or struggling to make ends meet. Our Ann Arbor Sartorius community has done an absolutely incredible job of supporting this cause (see campaign history below) and we are completely responsible for this incredible gift to Food Gatherers year after year, as this is an employee organized and supported initiative. I am so proud to work alongside people who care for others and step up to support local charities like this.

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
