University of Michigan Anesthesiology Food Drive Challenge

A team fundraising campaign for Food Gatherers.

As a fun way to celebrate both CRNA week and Physician Anesthesiologist week, we are hosting our second annual virtual food drive challenge. Please select the donate button and choose either Faculty Anesthesiologists or CRNAs. May the most generous team win!

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an immediate, deep, and lasting impact on food insecurity in our community. Michigan Medicine Anesthesia Department is raising funds to help feed families, children, individuals, and seniors in our community. Please join us today by making a donation of any size to support your neighbors facing hunger. All donations benefit Food Gatherers, the food bank, and the food rescue program serving Washtenaw County for more than 30 years.

With your support, Food Gatherers’ network of food pantries and grocery distributions throughout Washtenaw County will continue to be a critical resource for families and children who are experiencing food insecurity. Having access to healthy and nutritious food is imperative for kids to have the proper energy needed to learn and enjoy life.

In Support of Food Gatherers

Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
