- Arbor Networks
The Rotary Fights Summer Hunger project provides foods for lower income children who receive subsidized school lunches during the school year, enabling them to stay fed through the summer. This year’s Drive is March 5th – 16th, and our ambitious goal is to provide 80,000 meals. Our hard-working committee will deploy over 150 collection boxes at various locations throughout Washtenaw County. For the fifth year in a row, all cash donations of over $25 received during the drive will be matched dollar for dollar through the Harold and Kay Peplau Match Challenge. Each dollar donated provides six meals for a child in need. Tax-deductible cash donations may be made online at www.foodgatherers.org/rotary or by check at the Rotary Shares table. Please give generously to this very important project!

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.
We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
