A Message From Let's Get This Bread

Food insecurity, defined by the USDA as a state of "limited or uncertain access to adequate food," affects over 42 million people in America. There is an enormous amount of work left to be done to truly eradicate hunger and its causes, but our group wants to take a step in the right direction. Especially in one of the richest countries in the world, there is no reason why so many people of varying identities and in varying regions should suffer from hunger. We seek to address this issue in our Michigan community by fundraising a substantial amount of money for the Food Gatherers, Michigan's first food rescue program, which exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community. Every dollar helps another family put food on the table, so please donate now!

In Support of Food Gatherers

Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
