Food Gatherers is the food bank and food rescue program serving Washtenaw County. Each fall, Community High School students join together and raise funds to help provide healthy food to our neighbors who are facing hunger.
Right now, Food Gatherers is spending more to help meet the increased need for food assistance in our community, and needs our support more than ever. Last year, Community High raised a new record of more than $97,000. Will this be the year we make it to $100,000?
This year, we're challenging the local community to match our funds raised dollar-for-dollar, meaning your gift will have DOUBLE the impact!
To join in on the friendly competition, select the team you'd like your donation to go to and click DONATE. The forum with the most money raised at the end of the fundraiser will win a party catered by Zingerman's Deli!

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.
We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
