A Message From Izzy Stevens
Hello, all! Please help both my/our low income neighbors in Washtenaw County and the Root Forum by donating to our fundraising campaign through Food Gatherers, one of the most effective and healthy food banks in the country. Each dollar purchases three meals. That means that, as a school, we have the potential to provide 300,000+ meals to folks who need it if we put our money where it counts! Literally every dollar counts, since each dollar you donate (even if it's only one!) will end up providing six healthy meals for folks who could use it. Especially at this time, people rely on Food Gatherers more than ever.
Even if it's not in your budget this time around, please repost this link - anything you can do to spread the word is helpful!
In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.
We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
