The COVID-19 pandemic has had an immediate, deep, and lasting impact on food insecurity in our community. W4 Country, WTKA and annarbor’s 107one are joining forces to raise funds to help feed families and children in our community. Please join us today by making a donation of any size to support your hungry neighbors (click on DONATE NOW). All donations benefit Food Gatherers, the food bank and food rescue program serving Washtenaw County for more than 30 years.

A recent Feeding America study projects that by the end of 2020 the number of individuals facing food insecurity in Washtenaw County could rise by more than 40% overall, and for children specifically, the food insecurity rate could rise by 103%. Food Gatherers’ network of food pantries and grocery distributions throughout the county is and will continue to be a critical resource for families and children who are hungry.

If you prefer, you may also give by calling 734-606-0753 or mail a check (made out to Food Gatherers with “Food for Families” on memo line) to PO Box 131037, Ann Arbor, MI 48113.

Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
