Kids like Tully need to eat! 500,000 kids in Michigan depend on SNAP (food stamps), which is suspended starting November 1. We're raising money for Ann Arbor Food Gatherers to help fill the gap. (We're fundraising rather than donating food directly because Food Gatherers can purchase food at wholesale prices, getting 2-3x as much food per dollar compared to buying food at the grocery store.)
As of today (Halloween), there is action to force the government to provide some funding to SNAP -- however, even if this happens, the program won't be fully funded, and there will likely be significant delays in actually getting benefits to people.

Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.
We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
