St. Andrews Episcopal Church has been holding a drive for Food Gatherers twice a year for more than 40 years. We are so grateful to all who contribute! In 2024, combined with matching dollars from other generous donors, we raised $38,296—the equivalent of 76,592 meals for our neighbors facing hunger. And, in just the single drive this Spring, along with the match, you generously donated $24,518, which provided 49,036 meals!
The need is greater than ever, as Food Gatherers recently experienced a drastic cut to a federal food source, which accounted for 15% of their total food distribution last year. The rate of food insecurity in Washtenaw County has also risen from 12.5% to 14%, or 1 in 7 of our neighbors, which is more people facing hunger than we've seen in a decade.
Please click DONATE to help Food Gatherers assist those in need in our community. You can also bring cash or a check made out to Food Gatherers to church on Sunday, September 14th, or mail a check to:

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.
We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
