To respond to the growing needs of our pantry and the broader community, we are once again running two donation drives: one for the Back Door Food Pantry and one for Food Gatherers.
Food Gatherers and the Back Door Food Pantry deeply depend on each other. The Back Door Food Pantry receives all the food it distributes each week at no or low cost from Food Gatherers and Food Gatherers depends on the Back Door Food Pantry and other local food pantries to distribute much-needed food to our community.
If you prefer, you can mail a donation by check or call (734) 761-2796. Checks should be made out to Food Gatherers. Please write Temple Beth Emeth in the memo line and mail to:Food Gatherers

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.
We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
