  2. Season of Gratitude 2023
The holiday season is upon us! The last few years have been challenging for so many people. There is so much going on in the world and little we can do about it. However, we can do great things around us and even the smallest things can make a big difference!

Loch Alpine is having its own little Turkey Trot on November 18, 2023. Please help strengthen and support our community by participating in the food drive! We've partnered with Food Gatherers, the food bank and food rescue program serving Washtenaw County for more than 30 years, to provide meals for those experiencing food insecurity.

Your donation of non-perishable food items is greatly appreciated! Please also consider making a monetary donation during our drive and let Food Gatherers do the shopping for you! With their bulk purchasing power, they can really make your dollar stretch. ($1 = 2 meals! You may drop off your food donation or you might prefer making a monetary donation (either drop off a check made payable to "Food Gatherers" or use the link to make an electronic donation.)

Thank you for your generosity!

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
