The COVID-19 pandemic had an immediate, deep, and lasting impact on food insecurity in our community and the current record-high levels of inflation have made it even more difficult for our neighbors to afford the food they need to be healthy. Michigan Medicine is raising funds to help feed families, children, individuals, and seniors in our community.
Please join us today by making a donation of any size to support our neighbors facing hunger. All donations benefit our community and are coordinated through Food Gatherers, the food bank and food rescue program serving Washtenaw County for more than 30 years. With your support, the Food Gatherers’ network of food pantries, grocery distributions, and meal programs throughout our community will continue to be a critical resource for families and children in need of food.
Our goal is to raise 1 MILLION meals for our community! Your gift today will help us meet and exceed our goal.Go Blue!
To make a donation please click on DONATE NOW, or if you prefer, you can give by calling 734-761-2796 or mailing a check (made out to Food Gatherers with "Michigan Medicine" on the memo line) to PO Box 131037, Ann Arbor, MI 48113.

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.
We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
