Michigan Medicine Fall 2021 Fund Drive for Food Gatherers

Michigan Medicine Fall 2021 Fund Drive for Food Gatherers

About This Campaign

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an immediate, deep, and lasting impact on food insecurity in our community. Michigan Medicine is raising funds to help feed families, children, individuals, and seniors in our community. Please join us today by making a donation of any size to support your neighbors facing hunger. All donations benefit Food Gatherers, the food bank and food rescue program serving Washtenaw County for more than 30 years.

With your support, Food Gatherers’ network of food pantries and grocery distributions throughout Washtenaw County will continue to be a critical resource for families and children who are experiencing food insecurity. Having access to healthy and nutritious food is imperative for kids to have the proper energy needed to learn and enjoy life.

There will be an in-person drop-off point for food and toiletries (August 30th – September 26th) at Dock 90 of the North Campus Research Complex (2800 Plymouth Rd.) just off Huron Parkway. However instead of shopping for bags of food to drop off, please consider making a monetary donation and have Food Gatherers do the shopping for you. With their bulk purchasing power, they can really make your dollar stretch!

To make a donation please click on DONATE NOW or if you prefer, you may also give by calling 734-761-2796 or mail a check (made out to Food Gatherers with "Michigan Medicine" on the memo line) to PO Box 131037, Ann Arbor, MI 48113.

Food Gatherers

Campaign to Support Food Gatherers

Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community by: reducing food waste through the rescue and distribution of perishable and nonperishable food; coordinating with other hunger relief providers; educating the public about hunger; and developing new food resources.
