The Ann Arbor American Legion Post 46 will be holding a food and fund drive in support of Food Gatherers on Saturday, October 3 from 9am to 2pm.

Our mantra is "veterans helping veterans, active-duty military, and our local community."  Right now, our local community -- including many local veterans  -- is experiencing a surge in food insecurity.  Food Gatherers is the food bank and food rescue organization serving all of Washtenaw County, and your monetary or food donation will help them ensure that our neighbors in need do not go hungry during these difficult times.

Click DONATE to make a donation today, or if you prefer, you can make a gift over the phone by calling 734-761-2796, or mail a check to PO Box 131037, Ann Arbor MI 48113 (please make check out to Food Gatherers and write "American Legion" in the memo line.

In Support of Food Gatherers
Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
