Food Gatherers is the food bank and food rescue organization serving Washtenaw County. As the hub for hunger relief, Food Gatherers provides food to our neighbors through a broad network of partners including pantries, churches, schools, senior communities and more. When you provide financial support to Food Gatherers, you help us distribute food across the county's service community so that partners like Ozone House and Peace Neighborhood have more resources to use on shelter, counseling and other services.
The cost of living - especially groceries - remains high. For households that are struggling to make ends meet this has made life even more difficult. As a result, Food Gatherers’ partner food pantries have seen an increase in visits over the past year.
Donations made to the Friends of Community High campaign will provide healthy food to children, families, adults, and seniors in our community.
