Let’s Raise 1 Million Meals for the Hungry!
Food is essential to the holidays. It helps us come together, celebrate, and share memories. Can you imagine having to choose between buying food and paying for your heat, or electricity, or transportation? For one in seven of your neighbors in Washtenaw County, this choice is a reality year round.
You can help your neighbors keep food on the table, during the holidays and every other day of the year. Join Food Gatherers and ann arbor’s 107one for the annual Rockin’ for the Hungry fund and food drive, where we’ll be “freezin’ for a reason” while collecting donations and broadcasting live outside of the Maple Road Kroger store. When you make a gift of funds and/or non-perishable food, you help us reach our goal of raising 1 million meals for Washtenaw County residents who face food insecurity.

We’re “Freezin’ for a Reason” and Broadcasting Liveann arbor’s 107one will be broadcasting live with Food Gatherers staff and volunteers outside the Maple Road Kroger. Stop in to say hi and make your gift, or tune in to 107.1 FM to hear updates, interviews with community leaders, and donor sponsored power hours. Food Gatherers and 107one will have special giveaway items for Rockin’ donors who come in person, so make time to visit us!
Extra Location on Giving Tuesday
Tuesday morning, 11/27, come catch Rockin’ at the Plymouth Road Kroger! We’ll be there 6 am to 10 am.
Ways to Give to Rockin’
In person at Kroger: Make a donation with cash, check or credit card to Food Gatherers staff and volunteers outside the Kroger store on Maple Road. We’ll also be at the Plymouth Road Kroger on 11/27.
At the cash register: Contribute $1, $5, $10, or round up your total at the registers of any Kroger store in Washtenaw County.

By phone: Call Food Gatherers at 734-761-2796 between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
NEW This Year - Online Auctionann arbor's 107one and Food Gatherers will be hosting an online silent auction of some fantastic rock memorabilia - all winning bids will count toward our Rockin' goal of 1 million meals! Bidding will begin Tuesday, 11/27 at 7 am and close Sunday, 12/2 at 4 pm.

Mobilize your friends, family and coworkers toward our 1 million meal goal by creating your own fundraising page! Just follow these steps:
- To create a personal page, click on the blue “Participate” button. To make a page for your business, organization, or group, click on the blue “Register” button.
- Set your fundraising goal. Once you create your page, we will send you tips, templates and more to boost your campaign.
- Starting on November 27, #GivingTuesday, ask friends and family to donate to Rockin’ for the Hungry. Inspire your friends and family to donate in your honor by volunteering to be “freezin’ for a reason” outside of Kroger during the campaign.
Volunteer at Rockin’Help us reach our 1 million meal goal by volunteering! Have a Rockin’ good time with Food Gatherers and 107one outside of Kroger while you accept donations of funds and food and spread the word about our work to fight hunger where we live.
