PIDC Fights Hunger with Food Gatherers!

A team fundraising campaign for Food Gatherers.

Food Gatherers is the nonprofit food bank and food rescue program serving 15,000 meals a day through 170 agencies and programs supporting food-insecure families and individuals In Washtenaw County. PIDC is joining with Food Gatherers to Fight Hunger Where We Live! All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Help us distribute more than 6 million pounds of food this year, through schools, churches, community centers, clinics and others running emergency pantries and meal programs. Share this campaign with your friends! Everyone who donates will get a tax receipt by email immediately.

Our Mission: Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community.

We rescue local food and leverage state and national food resources for hunger relief. We lead a network of hunger relief providers and engage the public in the fight against hunger. We create and sustain innovative new food programs in response to emerging needs. We recognize that hunger will not be solved through the provision of food alone, so we advocate for policies and system changes to create an equitable food system.
